Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with required Hazmat endorsement.
Experience Requirements
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with Hazmat endorsement and a safe driving record.
- Ability to safely operate tractor-trailer equipment while transporting regulated materials on local routes.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations, hazardous materials transportation requirements, hours-of-service rules, and vehicle inspection procedures.
- Ability to properly secure cargo, verify shipping documentation, and follow required procedures for transporting hazardous materials.
- Commitment to safe driving, regulatory compliance, professionalism, and dependable attendance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous local Class A commercial driving experience transporting hazardous materials is preferred.
- Experience with local pickup and delivery, dedicated routes, distribution operations, or industrial transportation is beneficial.
- Knowledge of electronic logging devices (ELDs), shipping papers, placarding requirements, route planning, and DOT Hazmat regulations is considered an asset.
