Requirements: 

• High school diploma or GED.
• Requires one year of medical billing or coding experience.
• Coding certification preferred.
• Spanish or Marshallese bilingual skills are a plus.
• Working knowledge of CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10, and modifiers.
• Bonus points for billing or coding certifications (like CPC).

Job Duties: 
You will enter and submit claims to Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance, and patient accounts. You’ll correct and resubmit denied claims, update patient details, and record incoming payments. You’ll talk with patients and insurance reps to resolve billing questions, apply approved adjustments like sliding scale fees, and prepare financial records when requested.
